About College

The Civil Engineering Department set up in 2004, has UG and PG Programmes with an intake of 120 students for UG and 24 students for PG. The department also has research centre recognized by VTU to persue PhD. The department has 32 fac-ulty belonging to various disciplines in the Civil Engineering field. We have memberships of Institution of Engineers (IE) and Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) and also have an MOU with FE Designs for consultancy services, M/s CADD Centre,, Bengaluru, M/s Synergy, Bangalore and Flaminco Refracto-ries(p) limited, Nagpur. We are also doing projects for Virtual Academy of Ancient Knowledge Systems (VAAK). The de-partment has hosted a number of activities under student chap-ters of IE, ICI and Forum (Civil Engineering Students Associa-tion), a few of which are – Guest Lectures by eminent person-alities such as Mr. S. Dhanabalan, Project Manager, NLC, Chennai, Dr. Aswath M.U, ICI, and Mr.Kaushik Hajra,ICI,Bangalore Centre, Mr.M.Chinnamani, Chief Manag-er, Center for Applied Research and Development, IISc, Ban-galore, Dr. Manamohan Kalgal, Joint President and Head, Ultra Tech Cement Ltd., besides other learned Heads and Professors from various top institutions and departments around.
